The scope of my work combines correcting and repairing any current problems you might be having, along with a detailed inspection and preventive maintenance of the slit lamp. The slit lamp is disassembled to its 20 or so main components. There are many places where the original grease has dried up and/or deteriorated over time. I remove all the old grease deposits and re-grease with OEM grease. After disassembly, cleaning and re-greasing, the slit lamp is put back together aligning and calibrating the optic's, slit adjustment width and height as well insuring a smooth movement of the base and joy stick. During the disassembly I am watching for parts that may be worn or are close to failure that might cause an issue in the near future.
