Tonometer Service

Your tonometer is another important part of your exam lane.
Calibration should be checked regularly.
If you notice usually high or low pressure checks-it's because your tonometer needs calibrated

Years of incorrect cleaning and improper handling will cause wildly inconsistent readings. It's estimated that 60% of tonometers have calibration inaccuracies. Returning a tonometer back to the manufacturer can cost $500 or more and you'll be without your instrument for 6 to 8 weeks.
I include service and recalibration as part of the overall service with the slit lamp.
If you are not currently in need of having me come to your clinic and do a full refurbishment, but are having trouble with accuracy of your tonometers I can also do just that.
